Anthony Kennaway is the Head of Public Affairs & Stakeholder Dialogue at Swiss Re. He was appointed into his current role in April 2021, having joined Swiss Re in 2017 as the Head of Regional Communications EMEA.
Prior to Swiss Re, Anthony spent seven years as the Communications Director at the international insurance economics think tank, The Geneva Association. From 2006 to 2009, he was Head of Communications EMEA at international infrastructure investment and asset manager, Babcock & Brown. From 2000 to 2005, Anthony worked on capital markets transactions and crisis management for financial services and FMCG clients at London financial PR consultancy Citigate Dewe Rogerson. Anthony started his career as a serving officer in the British Army (1995-2000), including tours in Northern Ireland and as a BritFor and NATO press officer during the Kosovo conflict.
Anthony is married with two children, is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and has a degree in Egyptology from Liverpool University and a Master's Degree in Communications from Johns Hopkins.
