Remo Steinmetz Head Executive Education Swiss Re Institute

Remo Steinmetz is the Head of Swiss Re Institute for Executive Education, where he leads the development of cutting-edge training and executive programmes. With a focus on the domains of insurance and risk management, Remo's exceptional team crafts tailored solutions for clients and governments alike.

Prior to his role as at the Institute, Remo contributed significantly as the head of Client & Functional Training at Swiss Re Academy. Here, he oversaw the comprehensive training programs in Property and Casualty, Life and Health, and Finance and Project Management.

Remo's international experience extends to his time as Vice-Consul, diplomat, and Senior Advisor for Education and Academic Affairs with the Consulate of Switzerland swissnex in Boston from 2004 to 2007. His tireless dedication was directed towards strengthening the ties between educational institutions and scientific communities in the United States and Switzerland.

Furthermore, Remo served with distinction for six years as the director of the postgraduate education in spatial and urban planning (MAS Raumplanung) at ETH Zurich, Switzerland. Under his visionary guidance, the program achieved remarkable success and emerged as one of ETH Zurich's most renowned postgraduate offerings.

From 1992 to 1998, Remo made valuable contributions as part of the Zurich-based consulting and engineering firm, EBP. His leadership was instrumental in the successful execution of projects in the fields of transportation and urban planning in Switzerland and Germany.

Remo Steinmetz is a proud holder of a Master of Science in Geography (MSc) from the University of Zurich, a testament to his unwavering commitment to academic excellence and professional achievement.
